This isn’t the apocalypse and it won’t do you in

Drop the worry and hug a friend

Pick the smile emoji then hit send

it’ll all be fine in the end

We can fight but it’s a waste of time

Some folks just want to be kind

The battle’s been long and all uphill

Maybe we all should sheath our steel

Maybe you’re not a hopeless reprobate

Maybe I’m not a moral cheapskate

Maybe we’re both just fighters without a clue

Needing something else to do

I get it, you feel great gravity

and i feel the weight of and endless sea

This isn’t the apocalypse and it won’t do you in

Drop the worry and hug a friend

Pick the smile emoji then hit send

It’ll all be fine in the end

This war, do we know what we’re really fightin’ for?

Is the goal just to even a score?

Some of us don’t even care anymore

Digital blood on the keyboard

Virtual guts on the floor

Let’s stop clicking and take a little break

Get back to sanity for heaven’s sake

This isn’t the apocalypse and it won’t do you in

Drop the worry and hug a friend

Maybe we can become friends

and make it all fine in the end
